....I hearby call upon all able bodied men and women to come forth and do their duty in the service of the Immortal Emperor of Terra. The chance has come for each of you to repay your debt to your God Emperor. He gave you life that you might serve him well, now the time has come to do so! I offer you the chance to join in the ranks of the Imperial Army. In the Guard you will be given the opertunity to travel to many wondrous worlds and encounter many strange and new things. You will be trained and armed to fight all the many horrible enemies of humanity. Do so in the knowlege that your fight is righteous, for we are the chosen of the Emperor and it is our collective destiny to rule the universe in His name, by His will! Those of you that display great bravery and valour in your service of the Emperor will be rewarded with Glory and Honour, your name will live forever recorded amongst those of the greatest heroes! Those who fall in battle will find themselves awakened to a new (better) life, to dine at the Emperor's table, for their soul is saved and they will live out eternity in glory with our almighty Lord! Come now and do your duty, save your soul, answer the call to arms and glory awaits!

All that is a fancy way of saying that I'm working to get as many madels as possible built, painted and ready to be feilded in anticipation of Skippy's visit (he's comming to visit for a week and with him is comming his contemptable swarm of vile Tau xenos). I will try to post some work and maybe a few pictures of some of my army but no promises (why do I even bother saying this stuff when I know that I will never get around to it?).
Since I've been working on my models I've noticed something that I had forgotten over the course of the school year (when my acedemic work cosumed all my time and my army was left to gather dust): I suck at painting. I know that there is a small chance that someone will read this journal and if they do and they collect Warhammer (I might as well address Skippy personally since he and TTT are the only people who read these consistently, a problem I assume could be remedied if I would simply post some new arwork but alas.. I'm just to damn lazy...) could you please give some tips or pointers? Pretty please? Its just that alongside the pictures of models I find online, in books, hell anywhere for that matter, my models look pretty damn pitifull. I feel bad applying such crappy paint jobs to models that are otherwise so nice, its almost like I'm murdering them. So please, if anyone would be so kind I could really use some pointers.
